This auction is for a 1950 US MINT SILVER PROOF SET IN A CAPITAL HOLDER. The items that I am selling here on eBay come from my personal collection acquired over many years of collecting as well as items given to me by my parents and other family members. Each item, set, roll, individual coin or collectible was acquired with great love – and I simply hope you enjoy it as much as I have over the years. I have a lot of “stuff” and many multiples so if there is something you want or need send a message through eBay and I will do my best to list it. If you intend to pay please bid. Your bid is very important to me – equally important is payment. Your order will ship quickly. Everything will have a tracking number. INSURANCE IS REQUIRED AND WILL BE ADDED TO THE INVOICE SENT TO YOU. COMBINED SHIPPING: Shipping is simple -- basically $3.50 no matter how many rolls you win. Everything will be combined under this $3.50 fee but remember it will be adjusted to include insurance at the post office rates. Some information on proof rolls – Through the years I bought, acquired or was given scads of proof sets, which I broke down into rolls. There is no magic – I just bought sets and when I had enough to make a roll, I made a roll. The rolls have extremely nice coins and I will go through each roll before I ship it to you and pull out any bad coins. The US Mint defines proof coins as “extraordinarily brilliant with sharp relief and a mirror-like background. The proofing process results in coins that feature frosted, sculpted foregrounds, giving them a "cameo" appearance. Proof blanks are specially treated, polished and cleaned to ensure high-quality strikes. The blanks are then fed into presses fitted with hand-polished dies and struck at least two times to ensure sharp, high relief.” All of my proof rolls follow this description.
