Take a look through the NCLT coins that the RAM has produced for collectors since 1966, and you'll see a number that commemorate an earlier, historic Australian coin. Even though the technology that the RAM has available is incredible, engraving staff often find it incredibly hard to reproduce exactly the original coin's appearance.

There are no such problems with the 2002 Adelaide Pound though it's so lifelike that if you could chisel the gold plated part out of the middle of this piece, it'd fool the biggest expert in the country!

Not only does the coin look great, it comes with an excellent brochure that covers the history of the Adelaide Pound in good detail and has no less than 60.50 grams of pure silver in it!. At hte time it was made, it was in fact the largest coin the RAM had ever produced.
